Alabama OL Heads to the NFL

As announcements continue to roll in from Mal Moore, one Crimson Tide offensive lineman has decided to forego the remainder of his eligibility and pursue his dream of playing in the NFL.

The University of Alabama has a history of first-round offensive linemen. Cam Robinson, Evan Neal, Alex Leatherwood, and Jedrick Wills are just a few of the most recent examples of first-rounders produced by coach Nick Saban.

JC Lathan has a good chance at adding his name to the wall of first-rounders inside Bryant-Denny Stadium's media room. Latham has decided to enter his name into the NFL draft after his time in Tuscaloosa, according to his Instagram.

Latham, a 6-foot-6, 320-pound offensive tackle went to IMG Academy for high school. He was teammates with Alabama's Tyler Booker during their time at IMG together.

He was a composite five-star offensive lineman coming out of high school, and the No. 1 offensive tackle in the country in the 2021 recruiting class.

Latham was reportedly injured on the final play of the Crimson Tide's loss in the Rose Bowl but was helped off the field. There has been no update on his injury.

Latham is projected as a top-10 pick in April's NFL draft by some. Even some of the more moderate projections have him as a mid-to-late first-round selection.
